The administration inspects projects on Pemba Island

As part of the efforts of the Al-Istiqama International Society to follow up on its charitable and developmental projects and assess their impact on the ground, Sheikh Zaher bin Khalifa Al-Alawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Dr. Saleh bin Suleiman Al-Zuhimi, CEO of the Society, conducted an inspection tour on Pemba Island in Tanzania.
The delegation was received by Sheikh Mohammed bin Suleiman Al-Tiwani, President of the Al-Istiqama Development Association in Pemba Island.
The visit included a number of programs and projects, most notably attending the ceremony of imams and teachers of the Holy Quran schools on Pemba Island, which are supervised by the Al-Istiqama Development Association, and meeting with representatives of listeners of Al-Istiqama Radio on the island, in addition to participating in laying the foundation stone for the Vocational Rehabilitation Center project in Al-Istiqama Educational City, and the foundation stone for the Holy Quran Center project.
The delegation also attended a ceremony held by students of Al-Istiqama Educational City in Pemba, in an atmosphere that reflected the impact of the educational and advocacy projects implemented by the association in the region.
This tour comes as part of the Al-Istiqama International Society’s commitment to on-the-ground monitoring of its projects, strengthening communication with local institutions and personnel, and supporting the sustainability of educational, charitable and developmental projects on Pemba Island.
