Tanzania is where Istiqama's work runs deepest — three decades of wells, orphan care, schools and food relief across the country.
Tanzania represents one of the most important areas of humanitarian and development work for Istiqama Global Islamic Charity. Its journey of giving in the country spans more than three decades, becoming a model of sustainable charitable work that combines meeting essential needs with empowering local communities.
Throughout this journey, Istiqama Global has implemented numerous water projects, including drilling wells and providing safe and reliable water sources to communities facing water scarcity, helping improve the health and living conditions of thousands of families. The Association has also placed special emphasis on supporting orphans and underprivileged families through sponsorship programs and assistance that provide essential needs and offer children greater opportunities for education and stability.
In the education sector, the Association has contributed to building schools, supporting Qur’anic schools, and sponsoring students, based on its belief that education is one of the most important pathways to empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and achieving sustainable development.
Istiqama Global’s efforts also include food relief programs, distributing food baskets, meals, and seasonal assistance across different regions of Tanzania, alongside various social and development initiatives targeting the most vulnerable communities.
After more than thirty years, Istiqama Global continues its mission in Tanzania, building on extensive field experience and strong partnerships with local communities to create lasting impact and bring hope and opportunity to those most in need.

Zakat is a profound act of worship that brings together spiritual purification, blessings in wealth, and social solidarity. It is not merely money that is given; it is a message of compassion and generosity that allows one’s blessings to extend beyond oneself and reach those in need. Allah Almighty…

Abu Ubaidah School for Qur’an Education Construction Project Join us in supporting the construction of the Abu Ubaidah School for Qur’an Education and become a partner in creating an educational environment where children and students can learn, memorize, and understand the Holy Qur’an and its values. Your contribution is more than support for a building—it is an investment in educating generations and shaping their future. Its impact continues with every student who learns, every verse that is recited, and every piece of knowledge passed from one generation to the next. You can make your contribution as an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) for yourself or as a meaningful gift on behalf of someone you love, praying that Allah makes its benefit and reward everlasting. Contribute to building Abu Ubaidah School—help build a place where the Qur’an is learned and a legacy that benefits generations to come.

“Whoever builds a mosque for God, God will build for him a house in Paradise.” Imagine having a share in one of the houses of God, where the minarets are raised in glorification, the verses of the Quran are recited, and worshippers gather in obedience. This mosque, set upon a green hill among the hills of the city of Mwanza in Tanzania, is a beacon of guidance and a meeting place for good. It will embrace worshippers, teach generations the Quran, and be a haven for remembrance and supplication. Contribute today to completing this blessed edifice. Perhaps this charity of yours will be a cause of reward that never ceases for you, as long as prayers are held within it and as long as the minarets call out: Come to prayer… Come to success.
